PITTSBURGH, May 7, 2019 – PPG (NYSE:PPG) today announced that it will showcase its complete range of advanced conductive and transparent functional coatings for display glass and plastic substrates at the Society for Information Display (SID) Display Week 2019. The event will be held at the San Jose Convention Center in California, May 14-16.

Among the recently introduced products PPG will display is an anti-fingerprint (AFP) coating based on proprietary PPG technology. The coating features an exclusive silk-touch feel that makes touchscreens on smartphones, vehicle displays and other shared devices more pleasantly tactile. It combines water-repelling and water-absorbing properties to enable greater adhesion and low water- and oil-contact angles, enhancing display-screen durability and fingerprint hiding.

PPG also will highlight:

PPG display coatings are used by leading manufacturers of consumer electronics, airplanes, automobiles, military vehicles and equipment.

SID Display Week is the premier international event for the electronic display industry. It draws more than 7,000 electronic display design, development and engineering purchase decision-makers from world-leading companies and end-users across the value chain.
